Raj Bhawan
Governor's House also known as Raj Bhavan and formerly, Government House was built in 1899 and designed in the Victorian Gothic domestic style by the architect F.W. Stevens. Originally built as the summer residence of the governor of the North West Province, it later became the summer residence for the Lieutenant Governor of the United Provinces. In present time Raj Bhavan is the official guest house for the governor of Uttarakhand. The complex consists of a two-storied mansion with 113 rooms, a large garden, a swimming pool, and golf links. One have to take permission for visiting Raj Bhavan.

Naina Peak
The nearest airport is Pantnagar (70 Kms). Presently, Kingfisher Airlines operates flights between Delhi & Pantnagar. The flight departs from Delhi at about 1 pm and reaches Pantnagar at about 2 pm. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Pantnagar to Nainital.
 
Ropeway
It is one of the main attractions of Nainital. This ropeway connects Snow-View Point (at 2270 Mts.) with Nainital near flats. Aerial ropeway starts at Mallital , there are two trolleys to carry passengers. It takes approx. 151.7 seconds to cover one way journey by trolley. Charges for cable car is Rs. 100 per person, Rs. 60 for child. Charges are for stay for one hour at the point. Timings are 10.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.

Tiffin Top
Tiffin Top also known as Dorothy's Seat (Tiffin = light meal eaten during the day). This terraced hill top (2,292 m (7,520 ft)) on Ayarpatta hill is a 4 km trek from the centre of the town and provides a nice view. Dorothy's Seat is a stonework picnic spot on Tiffin Top built in memory of an English artist, Dorothy Kellet, by her husband and admirers after her death in a air crash.
 
Nainital Zoo
It is a must see place for all the nature lovers and those interested in wildlife. But to enjoy all this one has to trek a distance of 1 Km from bus stand .This is a high altitude zoo situated at 2100 meters in a vast open area. This zoo is having variety of animals, namely, Himalayan black bear, Monkeys, Siberian Tiger, Leopard, Wolf, Palm civet cat, Rose ringed Parakeet, Silver Pheasants, Hill Fox, Ghoral, Sambhar and Barking Deer. It remains open for tourists throughout the year except when it is closed on the occasions of Holi, Diwali, and all national holidays in addition to the weekly off on Monday.

Kilbury
Kilbury is located at an altitude of 2194 mts. and at a distance of 10 Kms. from the town. One can go there by motorable road. There is a forest rest house for night stay. Kilbury is an ideal spot for those who loves peace and want to enjoy their holifdays in tranquility.
 
Tibetan Market
The Tibetan market along the edge of the lake is very popular and ideal if you good at bargaining.

Snow View
It is the most easily accessible hill top, height 2270 mts. and at a distance of 2.5 Km from the town. Its at the top of Sher-ka-danda Ridge (north by north-east of the town centre), is easily reachable by cable car. This peak is also connected by motor able road. Snow view as the name suggests offers an indescribably beautiful and breath taking picture of the glittering snows of Himalyas. It has a temple. Tea, snacks, Photographers are available at this place. On a clear day, it offers spectacular views of the snowbound high Himalaya, including Nanda Devi, Trisul and Nanda Kot.

The Mall
On one of side of lake is the Mall road now it is known as Govind Ballabh Pant Marg. Number of hotels, food joints, shops, banks and other business concerns are here. In May & June vehicular traffic is not allowed on Mall road in evening hours to facilitate tourists. This road is the main link joining Mallital and Tallital. On the other side of the lake lies the Thandi Road. It is comparatively less busy and have Pashan devi temple. Entry of Vehicles is prohibited on Thandi Road.
